Karma

You think your poison is harmless,

But I have proof it isn’t true.

Your mouth is always open,

Spewing that awful poison stuff.

I can only take so much,

until my brain goes snap.

You think that purple people like you,

but they really don’t at all

You’re as charming as an eel.

Which is why you are disliked.

You hurt me in the worst of ways.

That now has come to bite back.

My ears were pressed so firmly

against your mouth to listen.

When you tried to spit the venom out,

Your words were not so clear.

I grit my teeth and clench my fist.

Gripping the words you said.

The clouds lingering above my head,

Turn angry  from what your mouth says.

The sounds like justice trumpeting through.

For you have doomed yourself.

Your words of hate,

Will only make it harder to escape.

Your fate is never changing.

Bio

Allyson, an aspiring forensic science technician, has a variety of interests. She enjoys competing with her hip/hop dance team. When not tearing it up on the dance floor, she is taking frequent trips to the refrigerator to satisfy her inner beast. She dedicates her spare time to her friends and family.

My Past, My Present

Present me walks up to past me. Past me is crying in a corner, away from he other kids, balled up with her head laying on knees.

“Hey Allyson, what’s wrong? Why are you over here?”

Sniffles and says:” I feel defeated, my friends have all changed and left me. Now I’m alone.”

Sits down next to past me puts arm around her. “Well, people change just like you change into me. Being able to accept change is part of life. You feel alone now, but you are not. You never are, you have family and me, that will always be there.” Past me sigh into her knees.

“I know that. . . I just can’t do anything right!”

“What grades do u have in math?”

“An A.”

“Well u can do math right.”

“Only when I learn how.”

“Exactly, you just have to learn. Everyone has to learn and aquire each skill as they get older. So think of every problem you think you have and treat it like a learning experience, you will be fine. You will grow and become stronger. Eventually you will turn into me and that’s pretty great. You are capable of anything.”

“You promise?”

“You will be fine, you are always loved.”

This kid next to me

Me and this totally brodacious-dude are sitting next to one another and he wanted me to write about him. So I am going to tell you how our relationship became totally wonderful. We met in like middle school at some point, but we never really spoke. Then in high school, we had a class together, ASL (american sign language), and our friendship blossomed from there. It started out with me and him talking about really stupid things like: How babies are cute and how I was a fat baby or how we both watch too much anime for our own good. Every time we saw each other he would pet my head really gentle, like they do in anime. It is a bit weird now that I think about it, but when he does this it makes me feel important and appreciated. Then, we started asking the other how the other feels and I tell him my stupid problems that I have at the time. He listens to my issues with no complaint, just kindness. I really appreciate and love being in his company. He is an all around wonderful person and a fantastic friend that I hope to have for a long time. Thanks platypus for always being there.

Coy Poem: Fallen Truths

Walking… Toes sinking into the scratchy sand

letting every step take me deeper

longing to reach the bottom

that never seems to come

I am advised not to sink further

,but there is no stopping me now

deep into the sand i go

unable to be pulled out

The shards of glass in the sand pierce my skin

Yet, I desire to keep going

To go deeper means: more open wounds

I keep falling… breaking

I am clutching to my truth

The weight of the sand pulling me down

Hard to breathe with the weight

Hard to live without breathing
